Charity Tournament for Steve Yee

This 1st annual charity tournament is being organized to benefit Steve Yee. Steve was recently diagnosed with Leukemia and is currently progressing through treatments. We would like the Archery community to come together and show support of an individual who has been an excellent representative for Target Archery in Arizona. Steve is Archery Advocate, Level III Coach, Arizona JOAD Board member, Tournament Judge, and JOAD Club leader. All proceeds raised from this event will go to help pay medical bills and the many needs that arise from this diagnosis.

Ben Avery FITA clean up, fix up day

The ASAA State Outdoor Championship-AZ Duel in the Desert Trails and Duel in the Desert are rapidly approaching in October/November.   All are invited to help prepare equipment and the field at the BASF FITA Range on Sunday, September 30th, 2012 starting at 8 AM, ending after lunch.  Tasks include:

·         Pruning trees and vegetation

·         Leveling gravel

·         Tightening target stands and equipment

·         Cleaning and organizing storage containers

·         Taking equipment and supply inventory

·         Hauling trash to the dump

Bring gloves, tools and dress appropriately.  Feel free to bring your archery equipment and practice too.

Level 3 Coaches Certification Course

USA Archery - Arizona/ ASAA is pleased to host a Level 3 Coaches Certification Course. The course will be on September 28 - 30, 2012 at the Arizona Archery Club in north Phoenix. Course Instructor will be Level 4 Coach and Coach Instructor Ed Votruba.

This course is very important to exsisting and future JOAD Clubs.
