It’s all for a good cause…all proceeds from this clinic will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Come hang out with Brady and hear about his adventures.  Be sure to bring your camera…he will be happy to pose for pictures and autograph miscellaneous items.

<title>Corner Kidz JOAD Stellar in the Dec. USAA JOAD Mail-in</title>

<description>James Rutherford of the Corner Kidz Arizona JOAD club claimed the compound bowman boy's class by shooting an impressive 294 that was highlighted with 24 arrows landing in the 10-count center position.  In the Compound junior boy's division Travis McCurry of Corner Kidz Arizona JOAD was second with 283 points.  In the men's team competition, the Corner Kidz Arizona JOAD club took top honors with a combined 861 points, shot by James Rutherford, Seth Waldroup and Travis Konrad.

<title>2010 ASAA Outdoor Championship Registration</title>

<description>The 2010 ASAA Outdoor Championship will be held at the Ben Avery Shooting Facility on Saturday, April 3, 2010 as a one day 72 arrow Qualifier followed by the “Get Set” Open which is the new set system elimination Round.  Easter is Sunday April 4. State Champions will be determined by the winners of the Qualification Round.

As the State Outdoor occurs during the final preparation stages for the AZ Cup, we may have the Danage Hand Held Terminal scoring system that was used in Vegas and at the AZ Cup last year along with the Danage timing systems up and running for the State Outdoor.  There may be USA Archery personnel on site to observe, train, and help out. We thank the Easton Sports Foundation for their funding which allow for such improvements.  We will update this information as soon as things are finalized.</description>

<title>Town of Buckeye Offers New Archery Programs</title>

<description>Free Archery Clinic!

The Town of Buckeye Recreation Division will be hosting a free archery clinic from 9am to 10:30am, Saturday, January 9th, at Earl Edgar Recreational Facility on Miller Road and Beloat.

The clinic is designed to teach fundamental archery skills such as equipment review, basic shooting techniques and safety and is open to participants’ ages 8 to 17 years.  All archery equipment will be provided for the clinic and no experience is necessary.  The clinic will be led by a Level 2 National Field Archery Association Instructor.

Space is limited to the first 24 participants completing registration by January 6th at the Dr. Saide Recreation Center, 1003 E. Eason Ave.

Youth Archery Program!

Looking to take your skills to the next level, registrations are also being accepted for the upcoming Youth Archery Program starting every Saturday on January 30th and running through March 6th.

Two sessions are offered and space is limited to the first 24 participants per session completing the registration by January 22nd at the Dr. Saide Recreation Center.  Registration fee for the program is $50.00 for Residents and $60.00 for Non-Residents and includes all equipment, t-shirt, and participation award.

<description>The Paseo Vista Archery Club, Inc. is an non-profit Adult/JOAD Target Archery Club which will be practicing and hosting events at the new Paseo Vista Recreation Area in Chandler, AZ. Desert Sky Archers is a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching, training and promoting archery in all forms.  With a home at Ben Avery Shooting Facility in Phoenix, Arizona, Desert Sky Archers can offer a variety of spaces to learn and master archery.  From the indoor facility to the FITA outdoor range an archer can practice and train for target archery.  The Field and 3-D ranges provide an opportunity to master archery in the outdoor environment of the Arizona desert landscape. 

Desert Sky Archers promotes archery as a family activity and will offer eight-week sessions of classes to both youth and adults at beginner and intermediate levels.  Individuals completing one class level are encouraged to register for the next level.  The instructors with Desert Sky Archers will be able to work with archers who wish to hone their skills in this sport and possibility go on to competitive level archery.</description>

<title>Intermediate Instructors Certification Course</title>

<description>An Intermediate Instructors Certification Course will be held on January 16 &amp; 17 at Precision High School. The Class will be taught by Ed Votruba and Mike Cullumber. This class is for individuals who have little or no Archery experience and are looking to start a new Archery Club or will be working in a more established Archery Program. All are encouraged to take part in this class. Those in need of financial support are invited to submit a funding request to the Arizona State Archery Association (ASAA). Grants are available to those who can volunteer at a JOAD/Collegiate/Family Archery Club in Arizona at least twice a month. Grants are also available for those who wish to start and run a new JOAD/Collegiate/Family Archery Club in Arizona. All individuals that are interested in participating in an ASAA grant program will be required to contact the ASAA in writing with personal information and write a brief statement on how the Target Archery Community in Arizona will benefit from the grant. Each applicant will be required to pay for the class in advance and return to the ASAA proof of completion from the class instructors. Each application will be evaluated on a case by case basis by the ASAA Grant Review Committee. You may apply for the grant up to two weeks after the class has ended. <title>2009 Arizona Duel Team Announced</title>

<description>The 2009 Arizona Duel in the Desert Team Trials was held on Oct. 3-4, 2009 at the Papago Park Archery Range, hosted by the Papago FITA Archers.
 
Arizona will be sending a full team to compete against their California counterparts on Oct. 31-Nov. 1 at El Dorado Park in Long Beach, CA. Each team member will shoot for match points that can be earned during each end, each distance and the final score. A full FITA is shot over a two day period.
 
Congratulations to our 2009 Arizona Team and wish them “Good Bear Hunting” when you see them!!

<title>Archery Instructor Needed for Town of Buckeye</title>

<description>The Town of Buckeye is planning a 6 week (one program per week on a Saturday) basic archery program for the Buckeye community youth.  The ASAA would like to assist the Town of Buckeye by finding certified archery instructors that would be interested in teaching the program. The program is scheduled for the time frame from January 23rd through the first weekend of March, 2010 during the morning hours between 9-11AM.  The times would be two (2) one-hour classes.  The Town of Buckeye provides the equipment and has a Certified Level 1 instructor to help administer the program. The archery instructor for this program is a paid position.
